Integration Day
Participating in the school integration day was a fulfilling experience. My role as a student volunteer involved guiding new students on a tour of our Cegep, introducing them to their future teachers, and organizing engaging activities with their instructors.
It was really interesting to witness the excitement and anticipation of these new students. To think we were at their place just a year ago! Time sure flies by!
In the end, this volunteering opportunity strengthened my commitment to my Cegep and highlighted the importance of helping others adapt to new challenges, like discovering a new school.
Creation and painting of an interactive class
School: Notre-Dame-de-Lourdes
During this volunteer opportunity, I had the chance to accompany one of my friends to her school to help with the creation of an interactive class.

This experience consisted of coming up with new ways to make a class more welcoming and engaging for the students.

Today, I believe it is safe to say that the school succeeded in creating a fun learning space for all students!
Action Nouvelle Vie
I had the amazing opportunity to volunteer with Action Nouvelle Vie over the Christmas season.
It was my responsibility to assist families in receiving the food they required and to deliver their allocated Christmas gifts, which were kindly provided by many generous families. I got the opportunity to speak with a lot of families in need and immigrants who were struggling to meet their basic necessities.
My eyes were truly opened by this experience to the abundance of things in my life and the importance of gratitude, particularly during the festive season of Christmas. I'm looking forward to working many more hours at this wonderful place!
