I had the chance to take part in a simulated trial organized by Juripop at the Université de Montréal on February 18th, 2023. As a member of the team, my role was to conduct the cross-examination of the witnesses. It was a challenging task, but I enjoyed it thoroughly as it allowed me to explore the art of questioning and sharpen my skills in cross-examining.

Though our team was unable to establish the defendant's guilt beyond a reasonable doubt, we delivered an impressive performance, considering the limited time we had to prepare. The experience gave me a better understanding of the trial process and the importance of a well-executed cross-examination.

I would recommend this activity to anyone interested in law, as it provides a unique opportunity to experience the complexities of a trial.

« Oh no, I'm losing money! »

In this month-long stock market simulation, I was allowed to invest $200,000 in virtual money. Throughout this simulation, I experienced several highs and lows.

Losing and winning money was part of the game. Throughout this simulation, I learned about decision making, investment strategies, financial planning, and various economic concepts.

Overall, this workshop provided a controlled space for me to learn about the stock market and how it works. I am happy to say today that I feel more confident about the world of investing, which was once so intimidating to me.

« To new adventures and discoveries! ».

35 students, 4 teachers, 5 cities and many adventures were waiting for me when I went on this trip. This year, I was extremely grateful to have the opportunity to go on this 15 days school trip.

Throughout this school outing, many different topics such as philosophy, physical education, video editing and photography were mixed together to create innovative and creative projects. For the first project, students had to film a documentary showcasing the story of an Italien citizen. Me and my colleges decided to film a documentary about Venetian mask and its authentic shop owner (the documentary is in the category projects).

Moreover, for the physical education course we went hiking with snowshoe for 3 days in the Dolomites. Additionally, we were given the chance to organise and instruct our own activity sessions to the other students, which was both exciting and challenging. Furthermore, as part of the philosophy course, we were required to take a daily photo that reflected the assigned theme. This gave us the chance to show off our originality and photography prowess.

Overall, this trip was a fantastic opportunity to discover new things and enrich one's knowledge while also making lifelong memories. I was able to become immersed in other cultures, sample new delicious foods, and meet new friends thanks to this enriching experience. I am grateful of this opportunity and will always remember this trip fondly.
